The Big Brother Australia winner has opened up about what happened after the 2025 season, revealing that she and Bruce spent a few months casually seeing each other before things fizzled out.

“Bruce and I tried it on the outside world, but it didn’t really work,” Coco told Chattr.

Bruce was in Noosa, while Coco was juggling life back home with her three children. She described the distance as a 10-hour trip, making the back-and-forth difficult to sustain.

Their catch-ups involved surfing, camping and enjoying time together, rather than jumping straight into a serious relationship. Coco said they saw each other casually for around three months into the new year before the connection “kind of plateaued out”.

“We weren’t dating,” she said. “We were just kind of just seeing how things went.”

Why Bruce Never Met Coco’s Children

For Coco, introducing Bruce to her children was never a step to rush.

She said he never met them because the relationship had not reached a point where she felt an introduction was right. She prefers to keep dating separate from family life until she believes someone could be a lasting presence.

“I don’t want to put somebody in their life and then remove them,” she explained. “That’s just too traumatic.”

That boundary stayed in place throughout their post-show catch-ups, even after viewers had watched their friendship turn romantic in the house.

Coco and Bruce had initially held back from acting on their attraction before sharing kisses and becoming one of the season’s most talked-about pairings. Coco ultimately left with both the possibility of a romance and the $135,000 winner’s prize.

Are Coco And Bruce Still In Touch?

Coco said the pair ended on good terms and were better suited to friendship. These days, though, they are not really in contact.

Asked whether they still speak, she answered: “Not really. Nah, nah.”

She said Bruce was doing his own thing and that she did not know whether he was seeing someone. Coco, meanwhile, described herself as single and enjoying it.

There is room for a relationship if the right person comes along, but she is in no hurry to squeeze one into an already full life.

“I’m open to it, obviously, but just cruising at the moment,” she said. “I’m really enjoying just doing me.”
