Reality Recap is building a community for Australian reality TV fans to talk about shows, episodes, cast members and site updates. These guidelines apply to posts, replies, article comments, profile text and poll participation, and explain what may be moderated.
Posts And Replies
A member account is needed to create posts and replies. Choose the show your post is about, give it a clear title and keep the discussion relevant to that show. Approved posts may appear in the Posts feed, their show hub and the author's profile. Public discussions can be read without signing in and may appear in search engines.
Posts and replies are member contributions, separate from Reality Recap's editorial stories. Share opinions honestly and make it clear when you are offering a personal view rather than reporting a confirmed fact.
Be Fun, Fair And Respectful
Reality TV can be dramatic, but posts, replies and comments should still be respectful. You can disagree, criticise a show, debate a decision, or react to an episode without attacking other readers or making cruel personal comments about people on screen.
What Is Not Allowed
Do not post abuse, harassment, hate speech, threats, graphic content, spam, scams, impersonation, private personal information, or content that target someone because of protected personal characteristics.
Do not make serious accusations about a real person unless they are already supported by a reliable public source. Do not post rumours about pregnancy, health, family issues, private relationships, legal matters, or other sensitive personal information as fact.
Spoilers
Avoid posting major spoilers in unrelated article comments. If a story is clearly about an episode, finale, elimination, cast reveal or result, discussion of that topic is expected on that article.
Moderation
Posts, replies and comments may be held for review before appearing publicly. Reality Recap may approve, hide, remove, edit for formatting, or reject contributions where needed to keep the site readable and safe.
Repeated rule-breaking may lead to account limits or removal. Moderation decisions are made at Reality Recap's discretion.
Reporting Community Content
If you see a post, reply or comment that may break these guidelines, sign in and use its report option. For posts and replies, choose Report from the three-dot menu. Reports help moderators review issues, but they do not guarantee that content will be removed. If you cannot use the reporting tool, visit our Contact page.
Deleting Your Posts And Replies
You can remove your own posts and replies through the Delete option in their three-dot menu. Deleting a post also makes its reply thread unavailable publicly. Removal from public view does not necessarily erase records retained for moderation, security or backups. See our Privacy Policy for more about information handling and account deletion.
Account Responsibility
You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep your login details secure and do not use a username, profile, or display information that impersonates another person or suggests an official role you do not have.
Votes And Polls
Use upvotes and downvotes to react to stories and community content. Do not manipulate voting totals, automate votes, or use extra accounts to evade restrictions. We may limit voting or close a poll to protect its integrity.
Reader polls are open without a member account unless stated otherwise. They are informal audience surveys and do not count as official votes in a television show's competition.
