After a week of tiling trouble, tight deadlines and half-finished bathrooms, Sunday night had the kind of Room Reveal that made the scoreboard feel very final.

Lisa And Rosco Finally Finish The Bathroom

Lisa and Rosco arrived at judging with one very specific goal: get a bathroom over the line. A glazing delay had threatened to sink them again, but Chantel and Wyatt's glazier stepped in to help install the shower glass after his own work had wrapped.

The relief was short-lived once the judges reached the study nook. Marty Fox was not sold on studies in guest suites, and the bedroom's storage and amenity came under fire. Their bathroom, however, was another story. The raw timber vanity won praise, with Marty calling it the best bathroom vanity of the day.

It was a familiar Block frustration. The bathroom had the polish, but the bedroom stopped the pair from turning that good work into a big score.

Courtney And Sev Change The Layout, Then Change The Week

Courtney and Sev did not just style a guest bedroom. They moved the bedroom door, tapped into the plumbing and created a suite with a kitchenette, sink, fridge, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, television, courtyard access and serious storage.

That decision gave the space the kind of genuine guest-house feel the judges had been searching for all night. The room was praised for its amenity, its scale and the fact that it finally gave a buyer something beyond a bed and an ensuite.

Then the points landed. Courtney and Sev scored 29.5, including the season's first two 10s, and took out the Room Reveal by four points. Their win also banked $30,000, a very useful result for a team that has spent much of the season juggling ambition with a tight budget.

Rick And Tayla's Room Unravels

At the other end of the night, Rick and Tayla's guest suite did not survive close inspection. The judges felt their study was dressed up as a kitchenette without providing the practical value of one, while the bedroom's barn door, styling choices and competing design directions became a running joke.

The ensuite still had moments the judges liked, particularly the green marble and tile selections, but it could not rescue the overall result. Rick and Tayla finished last on 17, a long way behind the winning room and with a few very pointed questions hanging over the identity of their house.

The Guest Suite Scores

Adam and Jolene scored 25.5, Chantel and Wyatt scored 25.5, Lisa and Rosco scored 23.5, Courtney and Sev scored 29.5, and Rick and Tayla scored 17.

Adam and Jolene still found a reason to celebrate after taking the $10,000 CommBank budget award. They finished just $2.10 over their estimate, which is about as close as a renovation budget gets to behaving itself.
