It was a big night for the pink team, and a very awkward one for anyone keeping tabs on who had helped whom.

Lisa And Rosco's Bathroom Never Had A Chance

The week had already gone sideways for Lisa and Rosco when their shower floor failed inspection and had to be ripped up. With the bathroom out of reach, they shifted their attention to the powder room, then took whatever extra time Foreman Dan could offer.

Rosco was encouraged to make deals with the other houses. Courtney agreed to use his trades in return for paying his tiling bill, a deal that later became central to the fallout around the winning room.

At judging, Lisa and Rosco presented one of the most incomplete rooms the judges had seen. Shaynna Blaze clocked the missing door and bathroom almost immediately, while Darren Palmer said the setback was heartbreaking. Still, the judges found positives in the layout and vanity, and Marty Fox even called it his favourite bathroom of the day, with a smile.

Adam And Jolene's Expensive Near Miss

Adam and Jolene had estimated their room at $18,700, then delivered a bathroom that cost roughly twice that. The judges loved the colour palette, tiles and curved shower seat, but were not sold on the decision to remove the toilet door from a floor plan already crowded with three doors.

Marty said anyone using the toilet would be a 'sitting duck', while Shaynna suggested the local nudist population might enjoy the arrangement. The finishes were not faultless either, but the judges still saw plenty for a buyer to love.

Their score of 24.5 put them agonisingly close to the win. It also set up the night's sharpest reaction once the final numbers landed.

A Win That Came With Plenty Of Help

Courtney and Sev had looked in trouble earlier in the week, but their late push paid off. Their bathroom and powder room were packed with marble, curves, rendering and the skylight they had fought to change. The judges praised the functionality, storage and cabinetry, then wondered how the pair had afforded it all.

The answer was a spend of more than $53,000, against an estimate of $20,700, plus a serious late-game effort to finish the spaces. Scott Cam gave the winners a reality check after the reveal, warning that their spending could not continue if they wanted to stay in the competition.

The score was 25.5, enough to win $10,000 and $250,000 worth of appliances for their kitchen. Courtney and Sev knew the result would be controversial, and they were right.

Jolene was furious that she and Adam had completed their room without the same level of assistance. She said the help Courtney and Sev had received to secure the win had left a bad taste in her mouth. With Main Bedroom Week beginning straight away, there will not be much time for the resentment to cool off.

The Rest Of The Reveal

Chantel and Wyatt recovered from a chaotic week to finish ahead of schedule, and also collected the $10,000 CommBank budget prize. Their 21.5-point room had good tapware, vanity and bath choices, but the judges thought the mirrors, bath placement and minimalist finish needed more work.

Rick and Tayla did not finish either, but the judges saw a better direction in their room. They liked the floor plan, tiles and lighting, even if the styling and lack of storage behind the mirrors drew criticism. Their 18.5 was a modest result after a rough week, but it was still a step forward.

The final Family Bathroom Week scores were Courtney and Sev on 25.5, Adam and Jolene on 24.5, Chantel and Wyatt on 21.5, Rick and Tayla on 18.5, and Lisa and Rosco on 15.5.
