Then, just as the group settled in for Main Bedroom Week, Lisa and Rosco revealed there is a Block baby on the way. Not a quiet start to the week.

The Bathroom Win Nobody Was Ready To Let Go

The previous night’s Family Bathroom judging was still the only thing anyone wanted to discuss. Courtney and Sev had beaten Adam and Jolene by a single point, and their win had earned them another getaway with Scott Cam.

At Open For Inspections, though, the mood was less congratulatory. Jolene called the finishing and paintwork an ‘absolute dog’s breakfast’, while Wyatt questioned whether an unfinished room should have been allowed to win at all.

Rick and Tayla were also feeling the sting. They had finished just one point above Lisa and Rosco, despite House 3 having completed little more than waterproofing. That comparison did not exactly help the winners’ room escape the post-judging inquest.

The house generally agreed Adam and Jolene’s space looked polished. The bigger question was whether a room with unfinished elements should have taken the week. Courtney and Sev had the prize, but the feedback was not going anywhere.

Main Bedroom Week Starts With A Setback

Once the inspections were over, the teams moved on to Main Bedroom Week. Curves, fireplaces and ambitious bedheads were suddenly everywhere, which is how a normal renovation week starts before somebody’s plan gets expensive.

Chantel was busy locking in House 2’s plans, but Wyatt was barely in a position to think about a feature wall. A sore tooth had taken over his entire day, leaving him unable to eat and admitting he felt useless while the work kept moving around him.

There was one particularly grim discovery from Foreman Dan. Wyatt’s frames had already been signed off, meaning he could have been insulating instead of waiting out the pain. Eventually, a dentist confirmed the tooth was cracked down to the gum and referred him to a specialist.

That left House 2 short of momentum while their neighbours kept ticking off their own jobs. Adam, meanwhile, bypassed a delayed plywood delivery by heading to Bunnings himself. A rare case of a Block problem being solved with a very ordinary errand.

A Block Baby Is On The Way

While Courtney and Sev enjoyed their getaway, the rest of the group gathered for the chumps’ meal with former Block couple Emma and Ben and their son Bailey. The catch-up took a turn when Lisa asked Emma what it had been like to be pregnant during the show.

It was not just a hypothetical question. Lisa told Emma and Ben that she and Rosco had found out on Friday that they were expecting their second child.

The other teams had not been told yet, making it the kind of lovely sharehouse secret that is unlikely to stay secret for long. After the bathroom fallout, it gave the episode a genuinely warm final beat.
