Everyday Australians Can Apply For The New Season

The revived season will recruit a fresh group of Faithfuls and Traitors from across Australia. Applicants will need to convince their fellow players that they can be trusted while hunting for the secret saboteurs hiding among them.

As ever, Gretel will secretly select the Traitors. Those players will then meet away from the group to decide who should be banished from the game, while the Faithfuls try to identify them at the Round Table.

The prize pool can reach $250,000, but only the players still standing at the end will have a chance to claim it. If a Traitor survives the final vote, they can steal the money from the Faithfuls.

Gretel Killeen Is Ready For More Deception

Gretel said she was thrilled to be returning to a format built around strategy, suspicion and the occasional spectacular lie.

The renewal follows a successful celebrity season won by Traitor Kirby Bentley. The local version originally ran for two seasons before the format returned in 2026 with Gretel at the helm and a cast of familiar reality television faces.

The casting call is looking for people who can read a room, keep a secret and make difficult decisions under pressure. Applicants do not need television experience, although a convincing poker face will probably help.
