Long before becoming one of the show's 2026 Semi Finalists, Leyla had released her own music, performed in major venues and faced crowds big enough to make a red-chair audience feel almost cosy.
Her Quarter Final performance of Demi Lovato's 'Skyscraper' secured her place in the final eight, with Ronan Keating choosing Leyla and The 60Four to represent his team in the Semi Final.
Leyla Had Already Performed For 30,000 People
At just 11, Leyla performed at Melbourne's John Cain Arena in front of 10,000 people. Dannii Minogue was in the audience and later complimented the young singer's voice.
Leyla then sang for another 20,000 people at the Manningham Carols by Candlelight, taking her combined audience across the two appearances to 30,000.
She has continued adding to that experience away from The Voice Australia. Leyla recently shared a stage with Bonnie Anderson and is due to open for fellow 2026 contestants Wave Raiders in October.
She Is Already Releasing Her Own Music
Leyla also has original music on Spotify, making her reality TV run one chapter in a career she had already begun building.
Speaking to New Idea, Leyla said, "I would love to have a career where I can make music that people genuinely and emotionally connect with."
Her wish list is not exactly modest either. Wembley Stadium and Madison Square Garden are among the venues she hopes to perform at one day, with the bigger goal of hearing audiences sing her own songs back to her.
She was 12 when her Blind Audition was filmed, and New Idea reports she has since turned 13. Either way, performing to huge crowds, releasing original music and reaching The Voice Semi Final is an unusually packed CV for someone still in school.
