Nine has now announced the new season will take over the Love Island USA villa in Fiji, with Sophie Monk returning as host and Eoghan McDermott back as narrator.
The season will introduce a new twist called The Power Couples, although Nine is keeping the identities of the couples and their control over the villa under wraps for now.
ITV Studios Australia Creative Director Alex Mavroidakis said the show had found a way to make the new season bigger after what he described as “peak Love Island Australia” last year.
Season 7 was the most-watched Love Island Australia season so far, with Nine saying the launch episode reached a total of 680,000 viewers on 9Now and the season averaged 627,000 BVOD viewers per episode.
Love Island Australia Is Expanding On Stan
The 2026 season will also come with a new Stan extension called Love Island Australia: Unseen. Uncut.
The Stan extension will offer daily drops of unseen and exclusive villa footage, giving fans a less polished look at the Islanders as relationships, drama and temptations unfold.
The winning couple will again take home $50,000.
