Love Island Launch Climbs 32% As Big Brother Opens Lower

Love Island Australia returned on Monday night with 452,000 viewers, up from 342,000 for its 2025 premiere. This year's season launch added 110,000 viewers, a rise of 32%.

Big Brother Australia opened with 542,000, down from 774,000 for last year's launch. The Monday night return was 232,000 viewers lower, a drop of 30%, but still finished 90,000 ahead of Love Island Australia.

My Kitchen Rules remained the night's top reality program with 1.06m.

Seven News topped the night overall with 1.41m, ahead of 9News on 1.22m and ABC News on 952,000. 10 News averaged 294,000.

Home and Away drew 949,000, while Travel Guides averaged 865,000.

A Current Affair averaged 993,000, ahead of 7.30 on 869,000. Tipping Point Australia pulled 747,000 ahead of The Chase Australia on 622,000.

In breakfast, Sunrise led with 447,000, followed by Today on 241,000 and ABC News Breakfast on 230,000.
