Carina has already filmed scenes for the third season of the crime drama and recently returned to the set for Season 4. She is also preparing to play the lead in a new film called Passport Bros.
Carina Has Already Filmed NCIS: Sydney
Carina shared a glimpse of an early call time through a TikTok vlog filmed around Sydney, although the production's confidentiality rules meant she could reveal very little about her character.
She said she appears in four scenes and described the Season 3 role as a valuable stepping stone in her acting career.
In an interview with Chattr, Carina confirmed that she has since been back on set for the fourth season and is excited for viewers to see the finished result.
The role marks a significant move away from the unscripted television world that introduced her to Australian audiences.
Passport Bros Was Written With Carina In Mind
Carina's next project could give her an even larger platform, with the former MAFS bride cast as the lead in Passport Bros.
She said the film's writer, director and production team approached her agent after watching her on MAFS. According to Carina, they had “written the role with me in mind”.
Production is expected to begin in Sydney later this year or early next year, although further casting and release details have not been announced.
Would Carina Return To Reality TV?
Carina is not completely ruling out another reality television appearance, but another televised marriage experiment is firmly off the menu.
She joked that Love Island USA could be fun, while making it clear that acting is now her main focus.
MAFS opened an unexpected door, and Carina now plans to keep developing her craft and pursuing more challenging scripted roles. From commitment ceremonies to a major crime drama, that is quite the genre change.
