Television commentator Robert McKnight says the participant lodged a formal police complaint after producers shared private information about him with his bride.
Writing in his Media McKnight column for TV Blackbox, he says the material involved the groom and an ex-girlfriend.
“I’m hearing that what was shared was very personal,” McKnight wrote.
He also raises New South Wales’ revenge porn laws in discussing the handling of private texts and photos.
Police Interviews, Seized Phones And Settlement Claims
McKnight says police visited Endemol Shine to conduct interviews, phones were seized and producers were provided with lawyers.
He adds that the groom has refused all forms of settlement, which his sources say is why the investigation continues.
Endemol Shine Australia had not responded to his calls, texts or emails seeking comment when the column was published.
McKnight cites unnamed sources and acknowledges he cannot verify every detail. The alleged investigation has not been independently confirmed.
