The former Married At First Sight bride has addressed the chatter around her Big Brother Australia audition, after her tape appeared on the show's social pages and immediately sent fans into detective mode.
In a TV WEEK interview, Bec said she has not heard directly from the Big Brother team, but revealed her manager had received a call from a network asking whether she could be released from her MAFS contract.
Her short version? She has been given permission.
That does not mean Bec is entering the Big Brother house. It does mean there is at least some movement around the idea of her returning to television, whether through Big Brother or another mystery opportunity.
Bec Wants Viewers To See Another Side
Bec said the push to audition came after fans encouraged her during livestreams and Q&As. After one of the more chaotic MAFS journeys in recent memory, she seems interested in showing viewers a version of herself that is not trapped inside dinner party warfare.
She was matched with Danny Hewitt on MAFS, and her season gave viewers plenty to argue about. Since then, Bec has remained one of those alumni who can still start a comment-section flare-up just by walking into the room online.
That is exactly why Big Brother makes sense as a fan fantasy. It is intimate, messy and personality-led, but it also gives contestants more space than MAFS to be funny, loyal, bored, strategic, irritated by chores and occasionally undone by a communal fridge.
Bec also told the outlet she feels stronger now and is ready to handle the scrutiny that comes with being back on screen. That is very much reality TV contestant language for: yes, I know the internet has opinions, and yes, I have read enough of them.
There Is Some Fresh MAFS Chatter Too
Bec also dropped a small MAFS tease about the next season, saying a few current grooms had tracked her down after she posted from the pub with former cast members.
According to Bec, three grooms saw the post, caught an Uber and introduced themselves. Which is either charming, thirsty for intel, or exactly the kind of behaviour that suggests the MAFS extended universe remains terrifyingly well connected.
She hinted that the next season may involve some mistrust in a couple of relationships, and suggested the dynamic could shift away from the women-versus-women energy of her year.
Again, that is not a spoiler dump. It is Bec giving a little reality-TV weather forecast, and the forecast appears to be partly cloudy with a chance of husbands making questionable choices.
For now, Bec has not confirmed a new show. Big Brother Australia has not confirmed her as a housemate. But between the audition, the network call and Bec's own willingness to talk about returning, the door is very much ajar.
