The former Married at First Sight couple continued their relationship after the experiment and launched Love, Life and Lie Detectors with Scott. Since their split, their public views on relationships have moved in very different directions.
Speaking to Chattr, Stella said the humiliation came from hearing opinions she deeply disagreed with from someone she had loved and pictured a future with.
She said she had sometimes pushed aside her intuition because she wanted the relationship to work. But she also resisted reducing everything she knew of Filip to his recent online content.
“Those videos don't reflect the whole person I knew,” she said.
Stella Says She Wanted Commitment And A Family
Stella described the Filip she knew during their podcast recordings as thoughtful and hopeful. She said she had been preparing to leave Sydney and build a family with him.
In her conversation with Woman's Day, she said she had been clear about wanting commitment, while acknowledging that people can change their minds after an engagement.
She also reflected on holding on to hope and overriding her own boundaries. She said she now wanted to move forward with more trust in herself, without closing herself off to love.
“I'm moving forward with clearer boundaries, greater trust in myself and a heart that remains open,” she said.
That is a different public response from when Stella asked people to stop attacking Filip after their breakup.
Filip Has Been Talking About Single Life
On his own channel, Filip has described enjoying the independence of being single. In Do You Really Want Kids?, he discusses his growing doubts about parenthood and says he currently sees no reason to marry.
He also says he does not want to shut himself off from changing his mind. In another video about modern dating, he talks about wanting a future relationship built around shared core values.
Scott And Stella Are Discussing The Podcast's Future
Scott told Chattr he found Filip's recent messaging concerning and at odds with the values they had discussed while recording together.
He said the three had spoken about the podcast's future, but those plans had changed. Scott and Stella were now talking about continuing it together.
Scott offered his own view of the change in tone, while acknowledging he could not know Filip's motivation.
Scott and Stella have not announced a relaunch date or revised format for Love, Life and Lie Detectors.
