A Woman’s Day article quotes Alisha’s appearance on The Morning Show on Tuesday: “There’s definitely a team that we clash with.” The outlet also quotes her saying alliances are forming between the original contestants and gatecrashers.

The pair are still competing on My Kitchen Rules after Jane and Shane finished their Instant Restaurant on 50, below Alisha and Deanne’s 68. They now face another round alongside Angus and Simon and Krysten and Lucy.

The incoming teams are NSW best friends Zoe and Zac, WA mother and son Sheridan and Ted, and NSW mates Harrison and Oliver. Alisha’s quoted comments do not identify which of those teams becomes involved in the dispute.

The Plates Argument Is Still A Sore Point

Their first-round rivalry left plenty of unfinished business. In an interview with Woman’s Day, Alisha and Deanne said they learnt about the controversy over their colourful plates at the next dinner, then discovered the extent of Jane’s criticism when the episode aired.

The mismatched crockery was deliberate. They had shopped for an eccentric look to suit Hot Mess, rather than planning a restrained fine-dining setting. Alisha said Jane later described the plates positively to them, which did not match what they saw on screen.

An official Morning Show clip also shows the pair discussing that rivalry with Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies.

After Jane and Shane’s elimination, Alisha told 7NEWS.com.au it felt like “Sweet, sweet karma served up”. The pair said their rivals’ criticism had raised expectations for the meal, making the reversal especially satisfying for the team tipped to leave first.

Meanwhile, Zoe and Zac told New Idea they believe Jane received an unfair edit and excessive criticism. Their defence does not identify them as Alisha and Deanne’s next rivals.

Alisha and Deanne have survived the first round. With three fresh teams now at the table, their next challenge is to turn that confidence into another meal that keeps them in the competition.
