The pair arrived on My Kitchen Rules with almost 20 years together, a deep love of Italian food and the sort of easy partnership that can become very dangerous once the pressure hits the kitchen.

Lucy Thinks They Are Keeping A Big Secret

Queensland contestant Lucy told 7NEWS that Tiffany and Giancarlo appeared to be keeping their abilities quiet.

She suspected they were "hiding some crazy cooking talent", making the couple one of the pairs she was watching before they had even hosted their Instant Restaurant.

Lucy and her mum Krysten were not completely united on the biggest threat. Krysten was more concerned about Jane and Shane, largely because Jane's food-styling background puts presentation firmly in her wheelhouse.

Either way, the early pecking order is already forming, and Tiffany and Giancarlo are sitting comfortably near the top of their rivals' watchlists.

Italian Cooking Is At The Heart Of Their Relationship

The MKR 2026 couple has been together for almost two decades. Giancarlo introduced Tiffany to Italian cooking, although she now jokes that the student may have overtaken the teacher.

His signature dish is melanzane alla parmigiana, while Tiffany's favourites range from fresh pasta and spaghetti pomodoro to roast chicken and lemon potatoes. That combination of family recipes, repetition and genuine enthusiasm is exactly the sort of foundation that tends to make other teams nervous.

Their working styles appear to balance neatly too. Tiffany brings organisation and focus, while Giancarlo has the more free-spirited entrepreneurial streak. Both describe themselves as supportive and competitive, which is a much healthier starting point than two cooks fighting over the same saucepan.

Tiffany Has Already Been Pulled Into The Table Drama

The couple's food is not the only reason viewers have noticed them. Tiffany found herself in the middle of Alisha's dramatic walkout after a dinner-table debate about whether a salad needed more acid or acidity.

Tiffany had used the word "acid", Alisha questioned it, and the room sided with Tiffany's phrasing. It was only one part of a much bigger build-up for Alisha, but it gave Tiffany an unexpectedly prominent role in the season's first major clash.

So far, Tiffany and Giancarlo have managed to look calm, capable and just mysterious enough to worry the competition. If Lucy's hunch is right, the Victorian pair may be saving their biggest statement for the moment they finally have to cook.
