Version 1.4 is coming soon, bringing a redesign across the whole website and a much bigger focus on the community. As we head into our second year, we want readers to have more room to start conversations, share opinions and get involved.
A Year Of Reality Recap
When Reality Recap launched on 14 November 2025, the idea was simple: give Australian reality television a dedicated home. News, ratings, recaps and gossip brought together the announcements, nightly numbers and on-screen moments fans wanted to follow.
The original website laid the groundwork. On 14 August 2026, our rebuilt website went live, giving articles and show hubs more room to grow, with clearer layouts and better ways to browse.
Later that month, v1.2 introduced member accounts, public profiles, article comments and show following. Since then, further updates have refined the design, expanded show information and improved the everyday reading experience.
Each step has helped shape the site we're building today. Our first birthday feels like the right time to take the next big one.
A Whole New Look With v1.4
The birthday update will bring a redesign across the entire website, from the homepage and article pages to show hubs, member profiles and account screens.
A new sidebar will bring navigation, account options and favourite shows together. The homepage will give stories and member posts their own spaces, making it easier to switch between catching up on the latest articles and seeing what other fans are talking about.
The news, ratings, recaps and gossip will still be there, with a fresh layout built around reading, browsing and joining the conversation.
Member Posts Take Centre Stage
One of the biggest parts of v1.4 is giving members a place to start their own discussions.
Got a prediction, a question about an episode or an opinion you need to get off your chest? Member posts will let you open that conversation yourself, alongside the comments already available on articles.
Each post will be connected to a show. Approved discussions will appear in the homepage's Posts feed, on the relevant show hub and on the author's public profile, helping fans find conversations about the programmes they follow.
You'll be able to browse Latest and Popular posts, reply to other members and vote on posts and replies. Member submissions will be subject to moderation to help keep discussions welcoming.
Thank You For Our First Year
Whether you've been here since the original website or have only just discovered us, thank you for reading. Every visit, comment and shared story means a lot as we keep building Reality Recap.
We'll have more to share about v1.4 when it launches. For now, we're looking forward to celebrating our birthday with you and reflecting on how far we’ve come in just one year.
