Reality Recap v1.2.1 has rolled out, bringing a round of polish, performance improvements and small community upgrades after the bigger v1.2 member launch.
This is not a massive new feature release, and that is very much the point. Version 1.2 opened the door to member accounts, public profiles, article comments and followed shows. Version 1.2.1 is about making all of that feel smoother, cleaner and a little more ready for everyday use.
Comments Feel More Useful
The biggest visible change is in article comments, where signed-in members can now mark comments as a good response or a bad response. That keeps the focus on useful discussion, without turning the comments section into a scoreboard for negativity.
Top comments are shown by default, but readers can switch to recent comments from the new sort control. Members can also choose their preferred default comment sort in account settings, so the site remembers whether they prefer Top or Recent.
Comment actions have also been tidied up and members can delete their own comments if they choose. Report and delete options sit inside a simple three-dot menu, with clean popups that match the rest of the site.
A Smoother Member Experience
Signing in should now feel more natural. Members are sent straight to their public profile after logging in, rather than briefly landing on account settings first.
Public profiles have also had a few small layout improvements. Followed shows now use the larger show hero images where possible, badges sit more neatly, and the first 500 member profiles will receive an OG Member badge.
Show Pages And Navigation Feel Cleaner
Show follow buttons have been polished so they load more smoothly and sit better beside show titles, including titles that wrap across two lines.
Article preview cards have been cleaned up too, with hover shadows removed for a flatter and calmer look across the site.
Video Support For Articles
Articles can now include embedded videos where they add useful context, such as promos, previews or show clips.
Speed And Search Polish
Behind the scenes, v1.2.1 improves how public article, show and category pages are cached after the community launch.
That means member features can stay live where they need to, while public pages remain fast and friendly for readers arriving from Google, social media or AI search results.
The update also includes small site identity improvements to help search engines better recognise Reality Recap.

Version 1.2.1 is a smaller update, but it matters because it smooths out the parts of Reality Recap that readers and members touch most often.
