The Love Island Australia host, 46, told the Daily Mail that parenthood remains something she wants, although she was reluctant to discuss the details.
“It’s hard because it’s two of us,” Sophie said. “But we’ve tried lots of times.”
Her humour was still there as she joked about wishing a baby would simply arrive at the front door, before reflecting on how difficult life can sometimes be.
Josh Helps Her Keep Perspective
Sophie also spoke about the confidence Josh brings to her life, particularly when work worries start taking over.
“He’s just giving me heaps more confidence,” she said.
She described how he reminds her that work is only one part of her life, and that people she’s worrying about probably aren’t spending their day thinking about her. It’s a reassuring counterweight to a career spent in the public eye.
The couple married at their NSW home in March 2022. In a separate Woman’s Day interview, Sophie said the intimate wedding let them focus on each other without the pressure of a bigger event.
Eight Years Together Still Feels Fresh
They first met on a flight in 2018, as Sophie returned from filming the first season of Love Island Australia. Eight years later, she told Woman’s Day their relationship still feels like it’s only beginning.
At home, the pair enjoy walking their golden retrievers Billie and Bluey, making funny videos and getting surprisingly competitive over games. Their favourites include Call Of Duty, virtual reality games and the board game Sequence.
Sophie said their shared humour is a big part of the connection. Away from the villa’s recouplings and romantic chaos, she enjoys the quiet life they’ve built together.
“I think if my younger self could see me now, she’d just be happy that I’m happy,” she said.
