The allegation arrived at the end of a tense Kitchen Week episode. Rick spotted Tim from British Paints using a roller next door and recorded the scene, prompting Tayla to declare it a breach because contestants are expected to complete their own painting.
Sev said British Paints had previously shown the teams how to spray their ceilings while promoting a new product. The couple said a problem with the paint left large striped marks across their ceiling, so the company returned to repair the finish.
Courtney said the arrangement "was approved by Scotty Cam" and claimed the other contestants already knew why British Paints was coming back. She said that was why House 4 was not worried when Rick began circulating his footage.
