The Block held off the Monday reality field with 1.08m viewers, ranking third overall behind the major news bulletins.
The Voice Australia followed on 965,000, just 113,000 behind The Block. Have You Been Paying Attention? drew 679,000 for 10.
Seven News topped the night with 1.48m, ahead of 9News on 1.36m and ABC News on 968,000.
A Current Affair reported 1.08m, while Home and Away reached 1.01m and Tipping Point Australia averaged 849,000.
Sunrise led breakfast with 465,000, followed by Today on 295,000 and News Breakfast on 219,000.
