The comment came at Nine's 2027 Upfront, where Pedestrian.TV asked the contestants about their off-screen relationships. Adam and Jolene, Lisa and Rosco, Courtney and Sev, and Rick and Tayla attended the event alongside Scott Cam, Shelley Craft and Shaynna Blaze. Chantel and Wyatt were absent.
Rosco Says Four Houses Are Still In The Chat
Rosco initially described the cast as “really good” before Lisa laughed and shook her head. He then clarified that most of the houses were friendly and said, “Four out of five houses are talking in the group chat.”
Neither Rosco nor Lisa named the team they were referring to in the quoted exchange. Chantel and Wyatt's absence from the event made them the obvious subject of speculation, particularly after Lisa and Rosco previously discussed tension with the couple.
Adam And Jolene Gave A Happier Update
Adam and Jolene painted a warmer picture of the cast dynamic. Adam said the group was still sending each other messages and talking every day, while Jolene described the conversations as family-oriented.
Jolene said the contestants were able to lean on one another because nobody outside the season fully understood the experience. That support included messages after difficult episodes and jokes about moments that played out on screen.
Lisa And Rosco Stand By The Television Edit
The pair also addressed the way this year's contestants have been portrayed. Lisa said the edits had been accurate overall, even if some context was occasionally missing, and admitted the show had captured her own quirky and sometimes clueless moments fairly.
Rosco added that “nothing is scripted on The Block”, although he acknowledged that contestants can feel backed into a corner and react in ways that look very different once the pressure is condensed into an episode.
With just over five weeks to go until the houses head to auction, there is still time for all five teams to find their way back into the same conversation. If not, the finale photo call could be every bit as awkward as the group chat.
