The Block rebounded above 1m in Thursday's overnight ratings, averaging 1.02m nationally to place third in the Total People Top 30. The result was up from Wednesday's 968,000, when the show slipped below 1m.
Seven News topped the night with 1.37m, ahead of 9News on 1.23m. ABC News drew 888,000, while 10 News averaged 294,000.
A Current Affair averaged 983,000, while Home and Away recorded 889,000 for its first episode and 776,000 and 711,000 for later instalments. 7.30 drew 768,000.
Tipping Point Australia reached 785,000, ahead of The Chase Australia on 645,000.
In breakfast television, Sunrise led with 427,000, followed by Today on 274,000 and ABC News Breakfast on 230,000.
