Nine has confirmed the mature-age dating show will be part of its 2027 line-up, with two Golden Bachelors searching for love and the women deciding which man they want to pursue.

Season two is coming in 2027, although Nine has not announced an exact premiere date or time.
Earlier reporting had pointed to a 2026 broadcast before the season was reportedly pushed into 2027. Nine has now confirmed the year through its official 2027 programme slate, but the previously floated March window remains unconfirmed.
The new season was filmed in Sydney during 2026, which explains why some early stories and first-look photos described it as the 2026 season.
What Is The Two-Bachelor Twist?
In its official season-two announcement, Nine promised “double the romance” with two very different Golden Bachelors.
The women will be able to get to know both men before choosing which relationship they want to explore. Nine says the change puts the power of choice in the women’s hands, with new connections forming and loyalties shifting as the season unfolds.
It is a major change from the first Australian season, which followed Barry “Bear” Myrden as 20 women competed for his final rose.
Who Are The Two Golden Bachelors?
Nine has not formally announced the two men by name, but first-look reporting from Woman’s Day identified them as Ed Savage and Mathew Collett after they were photographed arriving for filming.
Ed was described as a contract logistics manager for K&S Corporation.
Mathew was described as a father of three and a co-founder of Solar D Derma Tech and Solar D Skincare, businesses associated with Vitamin D-focused sun-care technology.
The first-look photos showed both men arriving in button-down shirts and tailored trousers before changing into suits for the opening cocktail party.
What Do The First-Look Photos Reveal?
Filming began at Tresco Estate in Sydney’s Elizabeth Bay, where the waterfront property’s gardens were dressed with fairy lights for the first introductions.
The photos show the women arriving in eveningwear and gathering for drinks ahead of their first conversations with the two men. The cocktail party reportedly continued into the early hours as contestants tried to secure one-on-one time with Ed or Mathew.
The full group of women has not been officially revealed, so names, ages and occupations are still under wraps.
Is Samantha Armytage Returning?
Yes. Samantha Armytage will return to guide the two bachelors and the women through the new format.
She was also photographed at the opening cocktail party in a red pantsuit, confirming she was on set as the first introductions were filmed.
What Happened In Season One?
The Australian version launched in 2025 with Bear Myrden as its first Golden Bachelor. He chose Sunny Long at the end of the season, and the couple later confirmed they were still together.
Season two will keep the show’s focus on finding love later in life while changing the central relationship dynamic. Nine says the two men will bring different stories, personalities and approaches to romance, giving the women two distinct paths to consider.
