Yung Milla won $100,000 in prize money and an all-inclusive recording development package, including production, recording, mixing, mastering and access to A&R and label services.
The result capped an emotional finale for the Team Melanie C artist, whose run through the competition has centred on storytelling, culture and the power of using music to speak plainly about where he comes from.
Yung Milla Delivered A Huge Final Night
For his final solo performance, Yung Milla put his own spin on Tupac's Changes, choosing a song that matched the message-driven style that had carried him all season.
He later joined Melanie C for a duet of Never Be The Same Again, a full-circle moment that paired the former Spice Girl with the rapper she had taken all the way to the title.
After Sonia announced the result, Yung Milla was visibly overwhelmed. He thanked viewers and his coach, and said the win was for his people.
Melanie C was just as emotional, praising the way Yung Milla had affected everyone around him and changed what the show could represent.
The Final Four Each Had One Last Moment
Daisha Auda represented Team Kate Miller-Heidke in the final, The 60Four represented Team Ronan Keating, and Tommy Novak represented Team Richard Marx.
Each finalist performed a solo number and a duet with their coach before the winner was announced.
Daisha performed Together Again by Janet Jackson, then teamed with Kate on Angel.
The 60Four took on Die With A Smile before performing You’ve Got It (The Right Stuff) with Ronan.
Tommy Novak performed Horses by Daryl Braithwaite, then joined Richard Marx for Summer of '69.
Yung Milla's win also lands after a huge final stretch for the Northern Territory artist. In the Semi Final, he turned Men At Work's Land Down Under into a deeply personal performance that blended didgeridoo, choir and original rap.
With the season now wrapped, the next question is what Yung Milla does with the recording package and the national platform that came with the win.
As for what comes next for the franchise, The Voice Australia Season 16 casting has already opened, though Seven has not yet officially confirmed a 2027 return.
