On The Voice Australia, each coach had to make one final call before handing the competition over to the viewers. There was no saving anyone for later this time. One performance per team had to carry its artist into the Grand Finale, while four contenders watched their runs end just short of it.

Yung Milla Turns 'Land Down Under' Into His Own Moment

Yung Milla gave Team Melanie C a Semi Final performance with plenty going on, taking Men At Work's 'Land Down Under' in a new direction with didgeridoo, choir, personal storytelling and an original rap.

The Northern Territory artist also paid tribute to his mum, who joined him at the end of the performance. It was a properly emotional finish, and Melanie C was visibly moved by both the performance and the way he had taken on such a big creative swing.

Kate Miller-Heidke loved the darker, more hopeful version of the song, while Richard Marx told Yung Milla that he had the kind of talent that can reshape a genre. The final Team Melanie C spot was never going to feel casual after that.

Tommy Novak Gets Team Richard's Final Nod

Tommy Novak booked Team Richard's place in the Grand Finale with Robbie Williams' 'Angels'. Richard had been pushing Tommy to trust his instincts and stop overthinking every decision, so the Semi Final was a useful test of whether that advice had finally landed.

It did. Melanie called the performance amazing, Ronan Keating told Tommy he should feel like a winner in his heart, and Richard backed the growth he had seen across the competition. Tommy is through, which means Team Richard has its finalist.

It also closes the door on Tika Cetinich's campaign. The pair had arrived at the Semi Final as Richard's final two, but only one of them could make it to the public vote.

Daisha Auda ‘Rises Up’ For Team Kate

Daisha Auda took on Andra Day's 'Rise Up' for Team Kate and secured her place in the finale. Melanie praised the 15-year-old's maturity and stage presence, while Kate highlighted her versatility and the soul she brings to every challenge.

The result ends Charlotte June's run, but it gives Kate a finalist who has been willing to take big swings all season. Daisha had already fought her way into the Semi Final, and now she has gone one step further.

The 60Four Dance Into The Grand Finale

Team Ronan's final choice was The 60Four, the only group left in the contest. Their take on Earth, Wind & Fire's 'September' mixed choreography with the harmonies that have become their calling card. Ronan praised their vocals and character, while Richard singled out their remarkable consistency.

That sent the South Australian group into the Grand Finale and ended the road for Leyla Sabo. Taylor Beadle-Williams also exited after Team Melanie C made its choice, leaving four individual stories and one very crowded voting line.

The Public Vote Takes Over

Daisha, Yung Milla, Tommy and The 60Four will now compete for the title, $100,000 and an all-inclusive recording and development package from Hive Sound Studios. The coaches have made their last calls. From here, Australia gets the deciding vote.

It is a pleasingly varied final four. Daisha brings the youngest voice in the field, Yung Milla has made every performance feel personal, Tommy has grown into Team Richard's steady closer and The 60Four have carried the flag for groups all season. The Semi Final was about the coaches' taste. The Grand Finale is where the audience gets to argue about it.
