The wildlife presenter will join Georgie Tunny and Beau Ryan to host Australian Ninja Warrior in 2027, with 10 content boss Tamara Simoneau explaining how the combination came together.

Speaking to TV Tonight at the network’s upfronts, Simoneau said Robert had grown up watching the show and was drawn to upbeat entertainment that reflected his values. Once 10 was no longer making I’m A Celebrity, she described Ninja as a “natural fit” for him.

She said the network expected Robert, Georgie and Beau to bring a fresh energy to the competition. Robert’s enthusiasm might also leave his co-hosts with an extra job.

Keeping Robert Off The Course Could Be A Challenge

Robert has already admitted he would be tempted to have a go himself. When Endemol Shine Australia announced the hosts, he joked: “My cohosts will have the full-time job of keeping me from attempting the course myself!”

He said the appeal went beyond the physical feats, pointing to the determination of competitors discovering what they could achieve. Georgie highlighted the personal stories behind each run, while Beau, who has previously competed on the show, knows how demanding the course can be.

The 2027 revival will feature a redesigned course, with everyday Australians and elite athletes chasing Ninja glory.

There is also an early indication of where the action could take place. TV Blackbox says it understands the series is set to film in Melbourne, with Melbourne Showgrounds a likely location. The venue has not been confirmed by 10.

Australian Ninja Warrior is coming to 10 and 10 Streaming in 2027. A premiere date has not yet been announced.
