The video promotes the Australian show’s move into the Love Island USA villa in Fiji. It features Ariana, who hosts the US series, handing the keys to Australian host Sophie Monk before the pair appear in heavily altered fantasy-style scenes.

Ariana Says She Was Not Told About The AI

According to Pedestrian, Ariana responded to the campaign by saying she had filmed an appearance but was not told the finished promotion would use AI.

She also said she did not work for the Australian series. Her objection was about the way her recorded clip was used, rather than a claim that she had never taken part in the shoot.

The report said Ariana made the comments on social media after viewers began questioning the video. Her comment was not visible in the accessible live comment set checked by Reality Recap, so her account is attributed to Pedestrian rather than treated as independently verified.

The Promo Carries An AI Label

The public Instagram promo displays an AI content label. Its comments also contain visible criticism of the creative choice, including viewers asking why AI was necessary.

The campaign is tied to Love Island Australia’s move to Fiji and its new Stan extension. The Instagram caption says the 2026 season starts on Monday, October 26 on Nine and 9Now.

Pedestrian reported that it contacted Nine and Ariana for comment, but neither had responded at the time its article was published. Nine has therefore not publicly confirmed Ariana’s account or explained the approval process behind the promo.

The dispute is not about whether Ariana filmed the key handover. It is about whether she knew that footage would be placed inside an AI-generated campaign, a distinction the Australian production has yet to address publicly.
