On The Block, Rosco’s father Jimbo, Adam’s son Kai and Kai’s friend Nick had joined the shared accommodation while helping on site. Nine’s episode recap shows Scott Cam ordering them out after Chantel said she felt uncomfortable.

Rosco told New Idea he thought production had approved the visitors and arranged their beds. He acknowledged they had not asked the other contestants, despite the rule book requiring it.

“It was a little bit upsetting,” he said. Still, he accepted Chantel’s discomfort and recognised that the pressure of the build made feeling unsettled at home harder. He said the disagreement had since been resolved.

The Move Revealed A Damp Problem

His dad moved into the shed, while Adam’s young visitors used the SaltPod wellness and gym studio. Rosco said that arrangement exposed moisture inside the insulation, and a hotel room eventually gave the visitors a more comfortable finish to their stay.

His family had been keen to help: his dad offered support as soon as Rosco was cast, and his mum took time off work to visit. Rosco would have liked his father’s help through the final weeks.

The dispute involved both accommodation and paid labour. New Idea says relatives can help under the show’s rules if paid at least minimum wage. Rosco knew family assistance was possible after his colleague Lee helped her mother Han in 2025.

He questioned why Courtney and Sev challenged the extra labour, while accusing them of stretching the rules themselves. That is his assessment; the interview establishes no breach by the women.

The same family-help dispute has fed into questions about the rival wine cellars’ pricing. For Rosco, though, one practical benefit came from an unhappy move: the damp was discovered and the visitors ended their stay in comfort.
