David Genat returns to host Australian Survivor as 24 castaways take on the game in Malaysia, with each player matched against a rival on the opposite tribe.
The premiere was announced as part of 10’s 2027 programming slate. Network content boss Tamara Simoneau told TV Tonight the early launch would kick off the broadcaster’s summer line-up, turning the previously floated January move into a confirmed date.
A Rival On The Other Side
The two tribes have been built around 12 pairings, with competitors facing someone who shares a similar background, skill set or competitive drive. The prize is $500,000 and the title of Sole Survivor.
The full Rivals cast includes rugby league veteran Robbie Farah and former Wallaby Adam Ashley-Cooper, actors Bernard Curry and Lincoln Lewis, and twin sisters Alisa and Lysandra Fraser.
Other match-ups pit Olympians Kerri Pottharst and Danielle Scott against one another, while Christian Wilkins faces Mitch Churi. The cast also includes lawyers, vloggers, athletes and everyday Australians.
Malaysia provides a fresh setting for the competition, with Genat teasing a demanding season for sporting stars, superfans and newcomers alike.
Simoneau said the combination of the cast, the Rivals theme and the new location made the season a strong fit for a summer launch.
When Does Australian Survivor: Rivals Start?
