Sunday's first live eviction came down to Harmon, Ebony and Kyrah, with host Mel Tracina delivering the verdict. Viewers saved Ebony and Kyrah, leaving Harmon as the first housemate evicted from the 2026 season.
It was a short stay, but he certainly managed to leave a few household essentials in unexpected places.
The House Had Already Put Harmon On Notice
Before the public had its say, the housemates had made their feelings fairly clear. Harmon collected 22 nomination points, twice the 11 received by each of his fellow nominees.
That is a sizeable gap when you are supposed to be finding a way to live together. His decision to hide the coffee supply hadn't exactly helped.
Given a chance to plead his case to Head of House Matty, Harmon instead challenged the housemates for failing to come to him directly with their complaints. It was a bold approach for someone whose immediate future depended on people wanting him around.
Ebony and Kyrah also had to face the vote, but both survived the first test with viewers. For Harmon, the nominations warning became an eviction result.
The Coffee Confession Comes With An Extra Ingredient
Once he was out, Harmon described his time in the house as turbulent. He also finally admitted to Mel that he had taken the coffee.
Then came the bonus confession: “And the salt.”
So it wasn't just the morning caffeine under threat. Dinner seasoning had been dragged into the strategy too.
Harmon's explanation was that the housemates had become too comfortable. He wanted a tougher experience, telling Mel that “it's not school camp”.
Unfortunately for him, his efforts to shake things up had also helped put him on the wrong side of the house. The public vote settled whether he would get another chance to adjust the atmosphere.
Matthew Picks A Treat Worth $25,000
The eviction wasn't the only moment with consequences for this year's housemates. Big Brother had a Halloween choice waiting for them: Trick or Treat.
The group nominated Matthew to make the decision. He chose Treat, adding $25,000 to the prize money and lifting the total from $100,000 to $125,000.
That is a considerably more welcome house surprise than discovering the coffee has vanished. With 13 contestants still in the game, the prize they are chasing has already grown.
Harmon leaves with the first eviction, Ebony and Kyrah get another day, and the remaining housemates have an extra $25,000 reason to stay on Big Brother's good side.
Big Brother Australia continues tonight at 7.30pm on 10 and 10 streaming.
