The Farmer Wants A Wife presenter is being discussed as a possible host of My Reno Rules, according to unnamed insiders quoted by New Idea. Seven has not announced an appointment.
The magazine says the network has considered a female presenter for the renovation competition and that Natalie has emerged as a contender. Johanna Griggs is another name its sources say has been considered.
Those insiders point to Natalie’s experience with everyday Australians as a reason she could suit a format built around transforming homes.
Dr Chris Brown’s Role Is Unconfirmed
Dr Chris Brown hosted the first season of My Reno Rules. New Idea links the possible change to speculation about his future, but no departure from the renovation show or return to Network 10 has been confirmed.
The magazine also suggests Adrian Portelli would support Natalie taking the role. That claim comes from an unnamed source, rather than a public endorsement from Portelli.
New Idea said it contacted Seven for comment. Its article contains no network confirmation of a host change, and Natalie has not announced the move.
Farmer’s Timeline Has Changed
The chatter arrives amid uncertainty over Farmer’s return date. Seven has denied cancelling the dating series and says it will produce the next season in 2027.
Production company Eureka’s chief executive Rikkie Proost told TV Tonight that pre-production had paused and the casting team had been let go. He described the change as “a timeline shift”, with work to resume closer to filming.
A 2027 production plan does not yet settle when the season will air. Nor has Seven confirmed that any gap in Natalie’s Farmer schedule will be filled with a renovation show.
Seven’s 2027 Upfront presentation is scheduled for 22 October. Natalie’s next role, and Farmer’s next broadcast window, remain questions for the network to answer.
