New Idea claims the longtime Block judge is eager to audition for The Voice Australia and has already recorded audition tapes.
The claim comes entirely from unnamed insiders. Shaynna, Seven and Nine have not publicly confirmed an audition, and no tape was published with the article.
Shaynna’s Singing Career Is Very Real
The Voice rumour may be unconfirmed, but Shaynna’s music career is not.
She performed her single Warrior during The Block’s 2025 comedy roast challenge, singing to a crowd of 1,000 at Her Majesty’s Theatre in Ballarat. Contestants watching backstage admitted they had no idea she could sing.
Shaynna has also spoken publicly about performing in Melbourne jazz clubs when she was a single mum, singing at Carols by Candlelight and recording music after her design and television careers took priority.
She previously tested her reality-TV singing nerves on The Masked Singer, where she was revealed as Goldfish. An actual Voice audition would therefore be less of a sudden career change and more of a very public return to something she has loved for years.
There Is Still No Confirmed Voice Audition
New Idea’s source claims Shaynna would like to wait until her current commitments are finished before pursuing the idea. The article also suggests Nine would need to support a move to a rival network.
None of that has been confirmed by Shaynna or either broadcaster.
The Voice’s 2026 season ended with Yung Milla taking the title, while Seven has opened casting without yet officially confirming a 2027 return.
Shaynna certainly has the voice and the stage experience. Whether she is actually ready to face a Blind Audition remains a rumour waiting for the woman herself to answer.
