The host shared her mischievous plans for The Traitors Australia in comments included in TV Tonight’s upfront article, as 10 outlined its 2027 line-up.
Gretel said she was delighted to have members of the public joining the game, then promptly turned the welcome into a joke about her own romantic history.
“I love common people. I may even have married a couple in the past,” she quipped, adding that any such marriage would have been accidental.
A Manor Makeover, With A Morbid Twist
Gretel joked that she and Butty had discussed redecorating the manor for the arrivals, with a local mortician apparently her preferred source of interior inspiration.
The wardrobe preparations were rather more relaxed. She teased that she had already bought “two matching pairs of thongs”, a decidedly casual addition to the manor’s grand surroundings.
The confirmed 2027 return will feature everyday Australians following the celebrity-led third season. Players will again try to spot the Traitors among them while competing for a share of a prize worth up to $250,000.
10 content boss Tamara Simoneau said the show’s light-hearted approach still left room for genuine emotion, pointing to the tears that accompanied the scheming last season.
The Traitors Australia returns to 10 in 2027.
