Krysten and Lucy say the My Kitchen Rules contestants are confronting one another about comments they are only discovering now the episodes are airing. Speaking to Chattr, Lucy described the chat as “spicy”, with some on-screen remarks following the teams off camera.

“People are seeing what’s been said behind their backs on TV and questioning that,” she said.

Krysten said some contestants were still upset about things that happened at the table or in the kitchen, and were finding it difficult to move past them. She did not name the people she meant.

Watching your own dinner party back is one thing. Finding out what everyone said when you were out of the room is quite another.

There Is More Than One Chat

Alisha and Deanne told Chattr the entire cast shares one group, with smaller conversations running alongside it. They described those side chats as places to “talk crap about the others”.

The pair did not identify who belonged to each smaller group, and no private messages were published in the article.

The off-screen friction follows Alisha and Deanne’s warning of another clash as the gatecrashers enter the competition. Their group-chat comments do not identify which team that earlier teaser concerned.

Mary And Golden Have Plenty Of Friends

The cast is hardly united in mutual irritation, though. Tiffany and Giancarlo singled out Mary and Golden as the team they were closest to, with Tiffany pointing to their shared respect for traditional cooking.

Alisha and Deanne also named Mary and Golden as favourites, praising their humour and their ability to match the friends’ considerable volume.

They said Krysten and Lucy had supported them during the competition, too. Their assessment of Tiffany and Giancarlo was much cooler, saying they had not enjoyed the connection. A suggestion that they were close to Jane and Shane was immediately clarified as a joke.

Lucy was equally clear about her own social plans: she did not expect to catch up with Jane and Shane or Sheridan and Ted.

Harrison and Oliver were another matter. Krysten and Lucy have already told Chattr about meeting them in Sydney after filming, with plans to get together whenever they are in the same state. At least one invitation seems safe from the group-chat fallout.
