The drama unfolds during Outdoor Terrace and Pool Week, when Tayla discovers that tiles meant for her and Rick’s pool have already been installed at Chantel and Wyatt’s property.
Tayla Wanted The Tiles Taken Back
Tayla told TV WEEK that she was devastated by the discovery and briefly considered using a crowbar to remove the tiles herself.
“It was not okay; I wanted my beautiful tiles,” she said.
According to Tayla’s account, Chantel knew the delivery was not meant for House 2 before the tiles were installed. Chantel and Wyatt’s version of the exchange was not included in the report, so the full circumstances around the delivery remain unclear.
The mistake could not have arrived at a worse time for Rick and Tayla. They were already trying to complete their deck with limited money and fewer trades than they wanted, and Rick described the setback as disheartening.
Rick Revives The Buyer Theory
The dispute also revived the secret buyer theory that took over Domain Night. Rick joked that House 2 might have another plan in place if the missing pool tiles did not affect its sale prospects.
“Maybe they have something else planned,” he said.
That comment is speculation, not evidence of a deal. Earlier suspicions that someone connected to Candyman might buy Chantel and Wyatt’s home have not been established, and no confirmed buyer has been announced.
Still, the tile problem adds another pressure point to a cast already divided over budgets, trades and perceived advantages. It follows Lisa and Rosco’s claim that only four teams were still talking as the build approached its final stretch.
For Rick and Tayla, the immediate problem is simpler than the conspiracy: their preferred tiles are now in a rival pool, and the clock is still running.
