After the scores landed, Courtney and Sev had the season's first perfect 30. Lisa and Rosco had a 29, including a 10 from Marty Fox, but the near miss only made the old grudge over unfinished skirting boards hit harder.

One Last Push Inside

Every team had to deliver a kids' bedroom while reworking an earlier room that had missed the mark. It was a hefty final indoor job, with a suggested $20,000 spend for the new bedroom and another $10,000 to tackle the redo.

Rick and Tayla were feeling that pressure before judging even began. Tayla pushed Rick to paint faster as they ran behind, and he made it clear he had run out of patience. Their bedroom was meant for an older child, but the judges found its styling confused, while their redo did not go far enough after seeing what the other houses had achieved.

Adam And Jolene's Momentum Stops Cold

Adam and Jolene arrived with plenty to celebrate after winning the Domain Buyer's Jury and Listing Challenge, worth $50,000. Then the judges walked into their kids' bedroom and wondered where the kids had gone.

The storage-heavy room did not read as a child's space to the panel, and their Week 1 guest-bedroom redo looked too restrained for a team with extra money to spend. Their score of 21.5 left them tied with Rick and Tayla.

Chantel And Wyatt Ignore The Advice

Chantel and Wyatt had the good news of winning the final $10,000 CommBank Better Budgeting Award for the interior phase. The judging itself was another story.

Their bedroom was also accused of missing the kids' brief, then the judges found their reworked living and dining room had not addressed the advice to make more of the view. The panel's frustration became hard to miss, and Chantel and Wyatt finished last on 17.5.

Lisa And Rosco Get Close, Then Get Cross

Lisa and Rosco finally gave the judges a kids' room that felt playful without being locked into one age forever. Their reading nook, colour palette and flexible design all landed, and their guest-suite redo was another hit.

But Darren Palmer held back a perfect score because the skirting was not painted. Lisa had already watched Courtney and Sev receive perfect marks the week before amid a dispute about unfinished details, so House 3's 29 came with a serious side of frustration. Rosco said it felt as though different houses were being judged by different rules.

Courtney And Sev Take The Lot

Courtney and Sev's kids' room had the adaptability the judges wanted, with enough personality for a child and enough polish to grow up later. Their redone living room took things further, especially with its fireplace and mirror.

Those additions reopened the ongoing copying debate because House 1 had used similar ideas. The judges, however, were far more interested in the finished result. All three gave Courtney and Sev a 10, handing them a perfect 30 and a $50,000 haul for the night.

The Final Scores

Courtney and Sev finished on 30, Lisa and Rosco had 29, Adam and Jolene and Rick and Tayla tied on 21.5, and Chantel and Wyatt came last on 17.5.

With the last interior rooms judged, the teams are heading outside for landscaping. The scoring argument, meanwhile, looks very much like it is staying indoors with them.

The Block continues tonight at 7.30pm on Nine and 9Now.
