It was an especially rough follow-up to the previous day's tile blow-up. The Battle of Freedom with Tayla had ended, but Jolene's patience was clearly still running on fumes as the teams pushed to complete the Ranch 2.0 apartments.

The Plant Problem Gets Bigger

Wyatt had claimed a stack of established trees at the on-site Bunnings, but Rick decided the haul did not look especially fair and moved some of them to House 5 for safekeeping. Once Wyatt realised what had happened, he recruited Courtney for a quiet retrieval mission after dark.

The pair argued that Chantel's prized olive tree was not technically on House 5's property, then made off with it. A very flimsy technicality had apparently become the night’s legal advice.

Getting away with that was not enough. Courtney suggested they take a look through House 1, where Adam and Jolene's rumpus-room plans were sitting in boxes. Courtney managed to disappear when Jolene arrived home, but Wyatt was caught red-handed before he could make a clean exit.

Jolene Has Heard Enough

Wyatt tried to say he was looking for Adam, but it did not land. Jolene was furious that the other men had been putting in hours at the community challenge while Wyatt had been nowhere to be found, telling him he 'couldn't give a f---'.

Lisa attempted to keep the peace while balancing a tray of McDonald's drinks, which was a level of multitasking no one should have to perform. Wyatt and Courtney saw Jolene's reaction as excessive, but the sight of him inside her house made the defence feel pretty thin.

The following morning brought an apology from Wyatt. Jolene admitted she had been triggered and accepted it, although she was not fully sold, saying the apology felt a little fluffed. The awkwardness had not vanished, it had just moved into daylight.

The Community Challenge Clock Keeps Ticking

There was actual building pressure waiting in the wings. House 3 had fallen well behind while focusing on the charity apartment, and Foreman Dan was increasingly concerned about the state of play. Sev later took a cheeky look through their rumpus room while Lisa and Rosco were away, proving that the Blockheads had not entirely learned their lesson about keeping out of one another's homes.

With the deadline closing in, the teams, sponsors and local community rallied to get the Ranch 2.0 apartments finished. Lisa's shopping run briefly went sideways when she thought her car had broken down, only to realise she had not put on her seatbelt before trying to start it.

The apartments are due to be revealed next, with the fallout from all that snooping still bubbling away back at the Block. There is a lot of work to finish, and apparently just as much detective work left to do.
