New Idea reports that producers are reviewing the coaching line-up as budgets tighten, with Richard Marx’s future said to be uncertain because of the cost of securing an international star.
“Nollsie is a very real option,” an anonymous source told the publication, adding that the singer would be open to joining the show: “He’d jump if the call came.”

Noll became a household name as the runner-up on the first season of Australian Idol in 2003 and has remained one of the franchise’s most recognisable alumni.
Adding him to The Voice Australia would give the panel another homegrown star with first-hand experience of competing in a televised singing contest. The current line-up features Australian artists Kate Miller-Heidke and Tones and I alongside international coaches Richard Marx, Ronan Keating and Melanie C.

Not at this stage. Seven has not announced Richard’s departure or confirmed any changes to the next coaching panel.
The speculation follows debate over Richard’s decision not to take Cherry Green, Dicko or Saem Millward through the Knockouts after he felt none of the three had risen to the occasion.
What is official is that applications are open for season 16, although the casting page does not announce an air date or reveal who will occupy the coaches’ chairs.
Until Seven unveils its next line-up, Noll remains a rumoured contender rather than a confirmed new coach.
