The show appears in Seven’s 2027 returning line-up, but a premiere date has not been announced.

Chief content officer Brook Hall told TV Tonight the show would be filmed and aired later, while stopping short of announcing a premiere date.

“The aim is for next year,” Hall said. He described Farmer as one of Seven’s three most important shows and reiterated that another season would be made.

The comments follow Seven’s denial that the series had been cancelled, after plans for the next run were paused earlier this month.

Production Is Being Timed Closer To Broadcast

Eureka Productions chief executive Rikkie Proost explained in an 8 October interview that pre-production had stopped and a casting team had been let go following the change in timing.

He said the company wanted to film closer to transmission because participants in relationship shows can otherwise face a long wait before going public together. At that point, the next shoot was being planned for 2027.

A premiere month, filming start date and the next group of farmers are yet to be announced.

Seven’s Upfronts announcement said the 2026 season averaged 1.29 million viewers, up 24 per cent year-on-year. That season is available on 7plus.
